GET INVOLVED! VOLUNTEER
Our kids have a great experience when the families roll-up their sleeves and volunteer. The Klein High Band has a rich history of volunteerism. It benefits our kids, our community and it's fun every step of the way! We encourage you to consider one of the opportunities below.

Pit Pops
Fundraising
Pit Pops are the backbone of the KHS Band program! These parents load and unload instruments and props for away games and marching competitions, help move equipment on and off the field, and construct/repair equipment. They also smoke briskets for three days and nights for a major fundraiser. They provide many other services that the Band may need, always with a smile and great energy! Information can be found HERE.
Chaperones
Volunteers assist with band fundraisers throughout the year including Car Show, Spirit Nights, Flag Distributions, Music Festival, Mattress Sale & others .
Spirit / Spirit Wear
Volunteers assist with the sale of Spirit merchandise at Open House, Parent’s Night and other venues throughout the year. If selling isn’t your thing you can help make posters, decorations or design shirts!
Chaperones accompany band students to events, so there are many opportunities to sign up during the year. Examples include: away football games, competitions, concerts and contests, and the annual Spring trip.
Band-Aid
Volunteers assist at the first aid station during marching practices (ice packs; band aids; minor cuts/abrasions) No medical experience is required.
Football Program Sales
Volunteers sell programs before the home football games. You can sign up for one or more games as your schedule permits. We even supply a handy little apron to help with this task!
Activities
Activities include Summer Swim Party, Parents’ Dinner and Summer Showcase, post-football game pizza parties, UIL send off or the May Band Banquet. From planning to partying...there’s a place for you!
Football Program Advertising Sales
Volunteers solicit ads for the program (a portion of the proceeds goes to the band). This takes place in June and July, so let us know if you are interested in helping during the next summer.
Miscellaneous
There is always work to be done on Band & Guard uniforms—if you like sewing and ironing, we need you!
